In the 18th century Le Vieux Relais was a coaching
station situated on the corner of the village square. Today it is
a well situated relaxing oasis that affords a unique insight into
French village life.
Le Vieux Relais makes an ideal base for off-season
visitors.
The house is very much a home as we live here year
round. We have updated the premises with some unique amenities to
provide maximum comfort for our guests at any time of the year,
with central heating, to provide a comfortable environment in the
cooler months and ceiling fans which add greatly to guests' comfort
in the summer heat.

We know from personal experience that comfortable bedrooms can make or
break a holiday and you will find very large rooms that are thoughtfully
furnished with mostly king size beds, ensuite bathrooms, and seating areas.
One of the guest bedrooms is on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard
making it ideal for less able guests who find it difficult to climb stairs.
There is also a suite which is particularly suitable for families with
small children as the second bedroom can only be accessed through the
master bedroom.

Weekly rental with a difference!
The house is available for rent by the week in high season with
the added advantage that you get us too!
We provide a catered service to our guests which
is best described as the sort of service you would get in a ski
chalet, allowing the whole party to put their feet up and relax
while being looked after unobtrusively - basically all the advantages
of self-catering with none of the hassle! We cook fresh local produce
and all you have to do is tell us if you are allergic to anything,
or if there is anything you dont eat and we agree a budget
with you and take it from there - sounds like heaven for busy mums!
Rates for weekly rental are from 2,000 euros per
week for up to 11 adults and 5 children plus whatever youd
like to spend on food and drink. For details of individual rooms
and rates, please see the rates box on the accommodation
page.

Eat in or out!
In summer guests can enjoy meals outside in the pretty courtyard
garden or under cover on our colonnaded terrace if the sun gets
too hot! A three-course meal is available at least five nights each
week and Mike's delicious barbecues are a feature of the long summer
evenings. In winter meals are served in the large dining room and
there is a very relaxing guest lounge available year round with
satellite TV and plenty of books where pre-dinner drinks are served
when we eat inside. We can provide picnic lunches made up of fresh
local produce for our guests to sustain them on days out and we
include homemade hot soup in winter.
